Privacy Policy
The Global Career Embassy (“GCE”, “we”, “us”) is a UK-based career consultancy. This notice explains how we use personal information supplied by clients and prospective clients.
Information we collect
Depending on the service you use, this may include your name, email address, country, CV, employment and education history, LinkedIn profile, career goals, target roles, job descriptions, achievements, correspondence and information you choose to provide during consultations.
Why we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide and personalise purchased career services, communicate about your order, manage our client relationship, maintain appropriate business records and comply with legal obligations.
Our lawful bases
We generally process client information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or to perform our contract with you. We may also process information where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and improving GCE, or to comply with a legal obligation.
Payments and service providers
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. We also use third-party technology providers, including Google services for client intake and communications and Cloudflare for website hosting and security. Those providers process information under their own applicable privacy terms and safeguards.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where applicable, providers use recognised safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing the service, handling follow-up or revisions, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations. Information that is no longer required will be deleted or securely disposed of where appropriate.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers where necessary to operate GCE or provide your service, and where required by law.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights including access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure in certain circumstances, restriction or objection to certain processing, and data portability where applicable.
Contact and complaints
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email theglobalcareerembassy@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how your personal information has been handled.
Please do not provide unnecessary sensitive personal information in your CV or intake form.
