Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 6 October 2026

These terms apply to career consultancy services purchased from The Global Career Embassy (“GCE”, “we”, “us”). By purchasing a service, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.

Our services

GCE provides services including CV review and rewriting, LinkedIn profile optimisation, cover-letter support, interview preparation and career consultancy. The scope of your service is the description shown at the time of purchase.

Payment

Prices are displayed in pounds sterling and payment is taken securely through Stripe. Your order is confirmed once payment has been successfully completed.

Information you provide

You are responsible for providing accurate information and materials reasonably required to complete the service. You remain responsible for checking the factual accuracy of final career documents, including dates, qualifications, job titles and achievements.

Turnaround and revisions

Any turnaround time communicated by GCE begins once we have received the information and materials reasonably needed to start the work. Where a service includes a revision, the revision should relate to the agreed original brief rather than a substantially different target role or new project.

Your right to cancel

If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you will normally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period. If you ask us to begin providing the service during that period, your cancellation rights may be affected once work has begun. Where the service has been fully performed within the cancellation period after the legally required request and acknowledgement, the statutory right to cancel may be lost. Where applicable, if you cancel after requesting that work begins, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already supplied.

Refunds

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights where a service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill or where another legal remedy applies. Requests concerning cancellation or a problem with a service should be sent promptly to our contact email so we can review the circumstances.

No guarantee of career outcomes

GCE provides professional career guidance and document support, but recruitment decisions are made by third parties. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, promotions, salary increases, visa or immigration outcomes, admission decisions or any other particular career result.

Career information, not regulated advice

Our services are career consultancy services. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, they do not constitute legal, immigration, financial or regulated professional advice.

Intellectual property

Once the relevant service has been paid for in full, you may use final bespoke career documents created for you for your own personal career and job-search purposes. GCE retains ownership of its underlying methods, templates, frameworks, branding and other pre-existing materials.

Confidentiality and privacy

We treat client information as confidential and use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, subject to disclosures required by law or reasonably necessary to provide the service.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to your statutory rights, GCE is not responsible for decisions made by employers, recruiters or other third parties, or for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you.

Contact

Questions about an order, cancellation or these terms can be sent to theglobalcareerembassy@gmail.com.

Important: These website terms do not replace any trader information that UK law may separately require to be provided to consumers.
